Obituary

Willie “Will” Massie Martin III, 63, of Lowell, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at High Point Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Ethney Rangulong.

Born in Lynchburg, VA, he was the beloved son of the late Willie Martin Jr. and Juanita Proctor.

Will and his family moved to Lowell, MA in January 2021 where he worked at Heather Wood Retirement Community in Tewksbury as a utility worker. He attended the Lowell First Church of the Nazarene in Lowell, MA since moving to Lowell in 2021. Will, never one to sit still, enjoyed gardening, sports, especially boxing and fishing, and fixing anything that needed fixing. But above all, Will loved spending time with his family.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons Brandon Glover of Prince Georges, MD, Maverick Brown of Pepperell, MA, Tyler Rangulong of North Chelmsford, MA, and Kobe Martin of Lowell, MA; his daughter Kesha Martin of Prince Georges, MD; his brothers Michael Martin of Lynchburg, VA, Victor Martin of Lynchburg, VA, and Shawn Martin of Lynchburg, VA; his sisters Rhonda Martin of Richmond, VA, Veronica Liggon of Lynchburg, VA, Kimberly Martin of Lynchburg, VA, Janice Bryant of Jacksonville, FL, and Mary Martin of Richmond, VA; his two grandchildren Malaysia Spriggs and Elijah Brown, and several nieces and nephews.

Will was proceeded in death by his brothers Stanley Martin and Timothy Martin.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Willie Massie Martin III, of Lowell, died Thursday, March 14, 2024. Visiting hours Friday, March 29, 2024, from 10-11am at Lowell First Church of the Nazarene, 1195 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854. Immediately following visiting hours will be the funeral at 11am at Lowell First Church of the Nazarene. The family requests to please wear Blue to the viewing/funeral in honor of Will. Blue was Will’s favorite color.
