    My condolences to Susan’s family.
I was president of the Miss Massachusetts Pageant after her reign. I knew Susan as a very nice person with a warm personality. II remained friends with her parents, and we would send Christmas cards every year until their deaths.
As president of the MMSPI for 22 years, from 1977 to 1999. I always respected Susan and made sure she was respected by all members of the pageant.
I still live in Fall River, MA, and I ama retired 83 83-year-old businessman, operating a greeting card store on Main Street for fifty years.
    My sympathies,
    Jim Rogers
