Sophanna Sam, 37, of Lowell, MA died Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at home.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Mengky Phan.
She was raised in Massachusetts since she was 5 years old.
She graduated from Lowell High School, Lowell, with the class of 2003. She was a longtime resident of Lowell.
Sophanna volunteered with the Merrimack Valley Collaborative of Billerica.
She enjoyed art, dancing, dining, and loved to help people. She was an animal lover.
Sophanna is survived by sisters Sophan Phan of Lowell, MA and Senghoun Mann of Lowell, MA; brothers Rithy Phan of Lowell, MA and Savuth Phan of Lowell, MA; a step-brother Norith Kang of Lowell, MA; step-sisters Narong and Veasna Sim of Lynn, MA, Nora Kang of Lowell, MA, Christy Kang of Worcester, MA, Lina Mann of Lowell, MA; Nhean Mann, of Lowell, MA who was like a mother to Sophanna; and many nieces and nephews.
