Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Kostoulakos announce his passing away after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Pete was a graduate of Lowell High School, class of 1967.  He received his under graduate degree in Fine Art from the Art Institute of Boston and his Master’s degree from Northeastern University with a degree in Art History.

Pete loved art from a young child. He taught art at the Lawrence Vocational School and upon his retirement from teaching he restored damaged paintings.

Pete was well liked and popular with everyone who met him. His two nieces loved him like a father.

Pete was the son of the late Charles Kostoulakos and Georgia (Vrouhas) Kostoulakos and the brother of the late Spencer Kostoulakos all of Lowell.  Pete is survived by his brother, James Kostoulakos of Chelmsford, his niece Christina Kostoulakos and her companion Ryan Keenan, their two sons Austin and Liam of Winthrop, MA; his niece Elena and her husband Ryan Richard and their children Elliott, Audrey, Nora and Willow all of Geneva, Ohio.

Online Tributes

1) We are so saddened that Peter has passed. George stayed close to Peter throughout his life: they were like brothers. We have spent so many family events together, and George met Peter and Jimmy very frequently for morning coffee. They never ran out of conversation and ancestral stories. May Peter’s memory be eternal. George loved going to my Class of 67 get togethers, knowing Peter and Jimmy would always be there. So many wonderful memories. Peter will be sorely missed. Love, Joni Tsoukalas
