Obituary

Matthew “Mateo” Allison Fisher died unexpectedly from a seizure at the age of 38 on July 29th, 2023 in the residence of his girlfriend in Methuen, MA.

Born in Lowell, MA, he was the son of Matthew Fisher, Jr. and Sophia Ann Allison.

He was educated in the Lowell public school system. Mateo was an incredible young man fluent in Spanish and Khmer.

He was respectful and well mannered. He loved his family and friends if you had the chance to know him you were lucky, he had a smile that would light up a room and brighten up your day. He loved music and just kicking back having some laughs, he would alway sit and talk to soak up knowledge and wisdom from his elders. Mateo will truly be missed by his family and friends.

He was a UTEC Alumni. He worked mostly in the warehouse industry.

Matthew, mostly known to family and friends as “Mateo”, was loved and will be missed dearly. He had a smile that was light up a room and brighten up your day. He loved his family with his whole being and would let you know it every chance he got.

He is survived by his mother, Sophia Ann Allison of Lowell, MA, his father, Matthew Fisher Jr. of Lowell, MA, his grandmother, Linda S. DeGree of Lowell, MA, his grandfather, Paul DeGree Jr. of Lowell, MA, his aunt, Tina G. DeGree of Lowell, MA, his aunt, Shelia Rondeau (Fisher) of Lowell, MA, his uncle, Michael Paul DeGree of Lowell, MA, his uncle, Tyrone Fisher of Lowell, MA, his uncle, Christopher Lee DeGree of Nashua, NH, his sister, Jeanette Marie Allison of Lowell, MA, his sister, Nikketa Greene of Lowell, MA, his brother, Paris Craig Fisher of Lowell, MA, his great-aunt, Etta Mae Choate of Lowell, MA; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mateo was predeceased by his brother Wayne Fisher, his grandmother Elmar Lee Fisher, his cousin Augusto “AC” DeGree, his aunt Patricia Fisher, and his aunt Samantha Fisher.

Visiting hours Friday, September 29, 2023 from 9:45-10:45AM with a funeral service at 11:00AM-12PM from MORSE-BAYLISS FUNERAL HOME, 122 PRINCETON ST., LOWELL. Repass to follow at UTEC in Lowell.
