Mary Turcogeorge Karangioze, loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 93.
She was the beloved wife of James Karangioze, with whom she celebrated 68 years of marriage.
She was born on March 8,1932 in Lowell, MA, to John Turcogeorge and Eva Louka Turcogeorge. She grew up in Lowell and attended Lowell Public Schools and Graduated Lowell High School Class of 1950. Mary was a devoted member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Lowell.
Mary enjoyed traveling and spending many winters at their home in Clearwater Beach, Florida. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and friends. Mary was a kind-hearted person, who always had a warm smile and a kind word for all. Mary is survived by a son, Nicholas Karangioze and wife Teresa, a daughter Evelyn Karangioze Savage and husband Jeffrey of Dover, N.H. Four cherished Grandchildren, Alexander Karangioze and wife Christina, Nikolas Karangioze and wife Sarah of Milford, N.H. Jameson Savage of Dover, N.H. and Marissa Savage Dureau and husband Greg of Dover, N.H., and four precious Great-Grandchildren, Zoe Karangioze, Niko Karangioze, Kassidy Karangioze, and Ava Dureau.
And several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Mary was the sister of Nick Turcogeorge, St. Pete’s, Florida and a special sister-in-law Doreen Turcogeorge, wife of the late Charles Turcogeorge of Lowell, MA.
At the family’s request, there were no calling hours. Funeral Services were held privately.

Such a sad time. I feel it’s a loss of part of my past. She was someone who was definitely a mentor for me. I will always be grateful for what I learned from her.
