Loving Aunt, Friend
Margaret Sarkisian, a longtime resident of Lowell, died peacefully on December 23, 2022, in Chelmsford, aged 96 years. Born in Lowell, August 16, 1926, she was the beloved daughter of the late Garabed and Serpouhi Sarkisian.
Margaret received her early education in the Lowell school system and was a proud graduate of Lowell High School.
A well-known hairdresser in the Lowell area for many years, she ultimately retired from Wang Laboratories.
Margaret was a devout communicant of Saints Vartanantz Armenian Church in Chelmsford, faithfully serving her church community with love and commitment for over 80 years. She was also a longtime, dedicated member of the Ladies Guild.
Gifted in the art of needlework, knitting, and crocheting, Margaret created many beautiful items for family and friends over the years. She also loved to cook for family, who delighted in her delicious cuisine. Margaret will forever be remembered for her strong faith and loving ways.
She is survived by a niece, Carol Hildebrand and her husband David of Dracut, a great-niece, Jennifer Murphy and her husband Matthew of Lowell, a great-great-niece, Mae Murphy, a sister-in-law, Beatrice Sarkisian of Chelmsford, and several cousins and dear friends. She was the sister of the late George Sarkisian and Sahag Sarkisian.
Friends will be received at Saints Vartanantz Armenian Church, Chelmsford, on Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 10 to 11 AM. Her Funeral Service to follow at 11 AM.
