Obituary

Lyndel M. (Engroff) Breault, 92, a longtime resident of Lowell, MA died early Sunday November 19, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter A. Breault Sr. who died in 2009 and with whom she was married for 58 years.

She was born in Lancaster, PA, July 31, 1931 a daughter of the late Benjamin and Edith (Shory) Engroff. She received her education in the Manheim Township School System in PA.

Lyndel was employed at the former Murray Printing Company, in the Forge Village section of Westford, MA for 20 years. After her retirement, she worked at the Chelmsford Stop and Shop as a cashier for many years.

In her free time, she loved to crochet, read, play cards, and most of all, spoil her cherished grandchildren.

Mrs. Breault was a devoted mother and grandmother who will always be remembered for her kind, gentle ways and world famous cookies.

She is survived by a daughter, Yolanda A. Szmyt of Lowell, MA, three sons, Walter A. Breault Jr. and his wife Carol of Ashby, MA, Benjamin J. Breault and his wife Diane of Westford, MA, and Mark A. Breault and his wife Paula of Lowell, MA. Also, six grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. A sister, Nancy Mease of Lancaster, PA, and several nieces and nephews. A dear friend Joanne Breault of Lowell.
