Joseph “Joe” Antonaccio, 82, of Lowell, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at home.
He was married to Chanthip Chantharack with whom he would have celebrated many loving years together.
Born in Mount Vernon, NY he was the beloved son of Joseph Antonaccio and Maria Rita (Ludovico) Antonaccio.
He graduated from high school. He is a graduate of New York University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He proudly served in the AirForce as a Sargent during the Vietnam War.
As an electrical engineer he has two patents. He was a proud community leader integrating the Southeast Asian refugees to their new home in America. Joe founded The South East Asian Restaurant/Grocery Store in Lowell and operated it for 24 years. He sponsored Laos Monks in Bridgeport, CT.
He enjoyed staying active with multiple business ideas and consulting as well as doing computer programming and software engineering. He liked to be known as a serial entrepreneur.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons Sam Antonaccio of Lowell, MA, Joseph “Joe” Antonaccio of NJ, his daughters Phontip Antonaccio of Chelsea, MA, Velia Wagner-Guadagno of NJ, his brother Michael and his wife Michiko Antonaccio of NY, his sisters Marylin and her husband Michael Spear of MA, Linda Lisella of NY, his thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
