Jolaine Johnson, age 74, of Rowley, MA passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. She was a loving and caring sister, aunt and friend. Born and raised in Lansing, MI, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University. Later she completed her Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, MA. She fell in love with the greater Boston area and remained there for the rest of her life.
Jolaine had a beautiful smile, contagious laugh and engaging personality. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, beading, crafting and reading. Having an affinity for foreign languages, she studied Spanish, Hebrew and Greek, and tutored the latter two. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Jean Johnson. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Leslie Johnson, Christine (Ron) Nakfoor and David (Loree) Johnson; nephew and niece, Kyle (Tronica) Johnson and Rachael Nakfoor.
A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, June 22, 2024, 11:00 AM at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Holt Chapel. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Capital Area Humane Society in memory of Jolaine. The service will be live streamed on the funeral home website so those of you that are unable to attend in person may enjoy that service online.
