Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother
Joanne K. (Ahearn) McKee, of Lowell, died December 30, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital, after a lengthy illness, aged 78 years. She was the beloved wife of the late William E. McKee Sr.
Joanne was born in Holyoke, December 18, 1944, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Dunlavey) Ahearn. She received her early education in the Holyoke school system and was a proud graduate of Caesar Rodney High School in Wyoming, Delaware.
She worked as a tax clerk before her marriage to Bill. Following his military career, Joanne became a CNA at the former Glenwood Nursing Home in Lowell.
Joanne was a fabulous cook, and was always looking for great finds at a yard sale. She was an avid reader and loved her pets. Most of all, it was her grandchildren who she adored and cherished.
She is survived by two daughters, Michelle M. Pucci and her husband Steven of Salem, NH, and Lisa R. Golden of Lowell, and a son, William E. McKee Jr. of Lowell; four beloved grandchildren, Kyle R. Pucci, Matthew W. Pucci, Lindsay A. Golden, and Molly M. Golden; three great-grandchildren, Lila M. Pucci, Kyle R. Pucci Jr., and Elle M. Pucci, and one due in May. She was the sister of the late John F. Ahearn and grandmother of the late Sarah E. Pucci.
Friends will be received at the MORSE-BAYLISS Funeral Home, 122 Princeton Blvd., Lowell, on Friday from 10 to 11 AM. Her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Noon, at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, Stevens St., Lowell. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
