Loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister

Joanne “Jody” (Healy) Rolens, a lifelong resident of Westford, died peacefully on May 6, 2022, in Westford, aged 71 years.

Born in Lowell, January 10, 1951, she was a daughter of the late James L. Sr. and Cecilia (Ward) Healy. She graduated from the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsborough with the Class of 1969. For a time, Jody worked at the former Murray Printing Company in Forge Village.

From an early age, Jody spent many happy summers at Hampton Beach. Later, she often accompanied her mother on trips to Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico.

She loved to take long walks, and was known to enjoy a Dunkin’s coffee with ‘half’ a donut or blueberry muffin. She prayed the Rosary daily and was a devout communicant of Saint Catherine’s Church in Graniteville. She especially loved to spend time with family.

Jody will always be remembered as a kind and loving soul.

She is survived by a son, Kerry J. Rolens, and two cherished grandchildren, Brandon Rolens and Amber-Rose Rolens. Four sisters, Mary Lane, Kathleen Healy and her husband Gus Bickford, Geraldine Healy-Coffin and her husband Christopher. A brother, Frederick Healy and his wife Janis. Also many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was the sister of the late James L. Healy Jr., Robert W. Healy, Nancy M. Healy, and Patricia M. LeBlanc.

Funeral services were private. Friends who wish may make memorial donations in her name to Catholic Charities, 275 West Broadway, Boston, MA 02127.
