James Henry Williams, died May 30th, 2022, at his home in Lowell, MA at the age of 80 years.
Born in Dora, Alabama, on May 18th, 1942, he was the son of the late Bennie Will Banks and Clara Mae Williams. He received his education in the Dora school system and graduated from Dora High School with the Class of 1960.
Mr. Williams worked at Courier Citizen for many years. He was a Mason. He enjoyed spending time fishing with his brother Frank (PeeWee) and friends, and loved riding his bike, and spending time with family. He was an avid sports fan; his favorite teams were the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. And James sure loved his hats, and looked sharp wearing them too!
He is survived by his daughters: Janice R. Williams of North Billerica, MA, Jacqueline L. Williams of Atlanta, GA, and Angela L. Boykins of Navarre, FL; his sisters, Ethel M. Davis of Lowell, MA, Ruby J. Hagler of Hammond, IN, Diane Banks of Spanaway, Washington and Brenda Pope of Federal Way, Washington, and a brother, Larry Banks of Graham, WA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Jessica Garcia, Anthony Pedrosa, Jocelyn Washington, Justin Robinson, Alissa Wesson, Desmond Wesson, Kayla Boykins, Dwayne Clark and James Clark, and Isaiah Bryant, five great-grandchildren, Dontrell Garcia, Je’Siah Garcia, Teniah Washington, Taylor Washington and Justin Robinson Jr., one great-great-grandchild, Jayden Garcia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loved ones.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Cynthia M. Williams, and his brothers, Andrew L. Williams, Robert E. Williams, Charlie Williams, and Frank H. Williams.
Friends will be received at the MORSE-BAYLISS Funeral Home, 122 Princeton Boulevard, Lowell, on Thursday, June 9th, 2022 from 9 to 10:45 AM, followed by his Funeral Service at 11 AM.
