Dorothy J. Greenwood 85, wife of the late Arthur S. Greenwood, passed away Saturday June 10, 2023 at her home in Lowell surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lowell on January 3, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy Lima of Lowell.
Dorothy (Mrs.G) was a Child Care Provider for 20 plus years, providing for family and friends who loved her tenderness with their children.
She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, the beach, the mountains and a good campfire. She also enjoyed line dancing to country music with friends.
Dorothy is survived by her sister Joan and husband James Carlen of Hudson, N.H., four children, daughters Linda and husband Kenneth Daneault and Darlene Decker of Valrico, FL, two sons Arthur Greenwood of Londonderry, N.H., and Eric Greenwood of Lowell. Seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Sharon Brown of Lowell and Bonnie Smith of Dracut, Ma., and the sister of the late Frank Lima. She was also survived by her companion of many years Joseph Blamy.
Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4 to 8pm. Funeral Thursday June 15, 2023 at 10am at Morse Bayliss Funeral Home 122 Princeton Blvd, Lowell MA 01851. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Arrangements by MORSE BAYLISS FH 978-458-6841.
