Beverly D. Musgrave, 86, of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family at The Blake Senior Living Facility in Miramar Beach, FL. Born in Lowell, MA, during the historic Hurricane of 1938, Beverly was a woman of strength, resilience, and unwavering independence. She was the beloved daughter of the late Frederick and Blanche (Lavoie) Provencher. Beverly was educated in the Lowell parochial school system and graduated with the Class of 1957 from St. Joseph High School. For 39 years, she shared a devoted marriage with her late husband, Frederick Musgrave, until his passing in January 1999. Together, they built a life rich in love and family. Beverly dedicated much of her professional career to the Chelmsford Senior Center’s Dietary Department before retiring. She was also a lifelong communicant of St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Lowell, where she found faith and community. Beverly had a passion for travel, creating cherished memories with her children and dear friends. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society, embracing life with grace, laughter, and camaraderie. In her later years, Beverly faced the challenges of cognitive decline with remarkable grace. At The Blake Miramar Beach Memory Care Unit, she became known as a “Kindness Ambassador,” her gentle spirit and warm smile bringing comfort and joy to those around her. Her presence was so deeply felt that her image and essence remain displayed throughout Destin and Walton County, FL—a testament to the love and admiration she inspired. With the devoted care of her family and The Blake community, she lived a full and engaged life until the very end. Beverly is lovingly remembered by her sons, Michael Musgrave and his wife Tracey of Houston, TX, and Richard Musgrave and his wife Diane of Atkinson, NH; her daughter, Lynne Valcourt and her husband Gary of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; and her sister-in-law, Elaine Ruffen of Lawrence, MA. She took immense pride in her ten grandchildren and their many accomplishments, and she was blessed to be the great-grandmother of three beautiful girls. Beverly’s life was also enriched by her many nieces, nephews, and friends, especially her devoted companion, Lloyd Surplus. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, the late Karen Ann Stock, as well as her brothers, Robert and Ronald Provencher. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws, Robert and Geraldine Lee. Beverly’s legacy is one of kindness, strength, and a deep love for her family. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Your Mother was a special person.
Beverly helped me get through a very hard time in my life.
If there were only one thing i could say,
that would be ” Beverly loved her family “.
Like you, I will always love and remember Bev.
I’m so sorry for your loss Lynn and family. I remember Mrs. Mrs. Musgrave as being one of the “Notre Dame Panthers Mom’s who always offered to help where needed. She was genuinely kind and was always there to be supportive of her daughters and colorguard/band. I pray you keep the wonderful memories, you hold dear, alive. ❤️
Beverly was a wonderful woman that my family had the privilege to know. I am very grateful that Beverly came into Lloyd’s life when she did. She was our entire family’s saving grace. You will be sorely missed.
My sympathies to Lynn and family. Your mom was a big part of our NDL family. From Scouts to Band and anything else where help was needed.
My mom enjoyed their friendship many years past the days of the activity of our youth.
May she Rest in Eternal Peace.
Lynn & Family: Please accept my most heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your Mom. We had great memories of the times spent with the Notre Dame Panther Band. Heaven has another Angel.
I remember Bev as a fun loving giving lady. We worked together at the senior center for many years running the Saturday night dances and occasionaly going out to lunch.
We had a lot of fun and I know many people remember her working in the kitchen, always with a smile on her face.
So sorry to hear of her passing
My condolonces to all of you
When I left the family I couldn’t stop thinking about you guys to hear you break my heart rip Gammie
Beverly was my sister Elaine’s sister-in-law and I became of a friend of hers through my sister. I loved Beverly. I’ll always remember how she took care of my 6-week-old baby when I had to have major surgery. I was in the hospital for a week and when Bev and Freddie brought her home to me, she was a little butterball. Bev and Freddie also helped me doctors’ appointments after the surgery and brought me casseroles to help me through my period of recuperation. I will forever cherish this. I give Bev’s children, grandchildren and family my deepest sympathy. She was a wonderful caring lady and I was blessed by her friendship.
