Our family has many happy memories of Ruth, her mom and dad’s visits to Fitchburg, MA to see Aunt Ada, Uncle Arthur, and cousins Betty, Gil, Susan and Nancy. We celebrated special events together and spent some great times at Hampton Beach and Camp Wellville. Ruthy had inherited her father’s fun-loving side and we shared much laughter during her visits. Much of that time was sitting around the kitchen table with a pot of hot tea and goodies listening to Aunt Alice and my mom talking about their younger lives! She was very interested in staying close to her family in Maine, Billerica, Woonsocket and England. She always shared wonderful stories of her family and friends!

I worked for many years with Ruth in the Tyngsboro Public School system. She was always bright and cheerful with a laugh that was contagious. Whenever there was a question about what was legal or illegal in making a change in a teacher’s contract, we always went to Ruth for advice. She was very knowledgeable about so many things, especially when it came to proper English. May she rest in peace.

Ruthy, as she liked to be called, was a wonderful mentor when I was a first year teacher in Tyngsborough. She always thought of her students’ needs first and was a pleasure to work with. I’m sure she’ll see the Gates of Heaven very soon.

I attended high school with Ruthy. We were in the choir together. I then had the privilege of teaching with her in Tyngsboro. She used to make rum balls for the holidays. Always a laugh. May she rest with the Angels.

She had such a fun-loving outlook on life and she brought all those wonderful qualities to her classroom. Ruthy was a unique blend of all the best qualities of Aunt Alice and Uncle George – full of love, joy, compassion, acceptance and humor! It didn’t stop there because she added her own talents and we all were so blessed to be a part of her world.
Through the good and not so good times, Ruthy, Aunt Alice and a pot of tea around the kitchen table brought joy and comfort that I treasured in years past and to this day remains with me. Learned from the best.
Ruthy – I know you are in a better place and I have no doubt you are singing, if not leading, a choir of angels💕

I always enjoyed Ruth’s company. She was always a good friend. My wife and we’re in process of making “RUTH WEBER’s MOST DANGEROUS RUM BALLS EVER” ( 1-1/2 cups rum) when we googled her to find up she was up to. Party time in heaven!

May perpetual light shine upon you, your Ruth. You were certainly a shining light in our lives.
