Margaret W. Kiongera, 38, of Lowell, MA, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
She was the beloved daughter of Dr. George M. Kiongera and Elizabeth Kiongera, both of Lowell. Margaret was born in Nakuru, Kenya, and moved to the United States at the age of sixteen.
Margaret earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate from Holden Institute in 2004. She later attended Middlesex Community College, graduating in 2006 with a degree in Liberal Arts. That same year, she transferred to the University of Massachusetts Lowell to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree. Afterward, she enrolled in the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program at Lowell Vocational Training Institute, graduating in 2007. She successfully passed her licensing boards the same year and became a board-certified Licensed Practical Nurse.
Margaret worked for several healthcare facilities before joining her father to help establish Maestro-Connections Health Systems, LLC, where she served as Director of Operations. In that role, she was instrumental in building and managing the organization, earning respect for her leadership, dedication, and compassion.
Margaret was known for her kindness, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She was a strong, hardworking woman who would do anything for those she loved. She enjoyed listening to audiobooks and music, and she had a deep love for reading. Margaret was also a faithful member of PCEA Neema Church of Lowell.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her beloved daughters, the loves of her life, Ariena Bett (12) and Abigail Bett (9), both of Lowell; her brother, Jeffrey Kiongera of Lowell; and her sister, Janet Kiongera, also of Lowell.
FUNERAL NOTICE
Margaret’s memorial service will be Sunday, March 1st, 2026 from 3 PM to 6 PM at the PCEA NEEMA Church, 201 Coburn St, Lowell, MA. Burial will take place in Kenya.
