Obituary

Leslee Gallant Gragg, age 72, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, Massachusetts. She most recently resided at Northwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Lowell.

Born on February 22, 1953, in Berlin, New Hampshire, Leslee was raised in the nearby town of Milan. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BS degree in Home Economics, beginning a career that would take her across North America. She taught grammar school in Terrace, British Columbia, and later in Beattyville, Kentucky, where she earned a master’s degree in speech pathology and served as a speech therapist in the local school system. In 2001, Leslee moved to Pepperell, Massachusetts, and concluded her professional journey as a registrar at the Emerson Hospital laboratory in Concord.

Leslee had a deep love for nature—she found joy in bird watching, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, and caring for her beloved pet dogs and cats. A talented artist and craftsperson, she expressed her creativity through her hands and heart. She was also a devoted member of her church choir, where her voice and spirit uplifted many. Those who knew her well always remember her wit and dry sense of humor.

Her survivors include her son, Adam Gragg, and his fiancée Alex Zakrzewski of Merrimack, NH; her brother, Leon Gallant, and his wife Marylin of Pepperell, MA; and her nephew Jesse Gallant, also of Pepperell. Leslee is also survived by many cousins, as well as a valued group of close friends residing in the Pepperell area. She was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Jean (Enman) Gallant of Milan, NH.

There will be a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on November 1, 2025, at Word of Christian Church, 11 Hill Road, Dummer, NH.

Leslee was a special cousin, and we had many fun times together! She was so talented and illustrated her letters and cards with clever and creative designs. She was thoughtful about remembering birthdays and special events in our lives.
She spent a year with us in Terrace, BC, teaching at one of our local schools. One of the last times we saw her was at Polly’s Pancake Parlor in New Hampshire. We will miss her, even though we hadn’t seen her for a few years. We exchanged letters and phone calls when she was able.
Our sincere condolences to her son, Adam and brother Leon and family. Les was a big part of the Enman family cousins. May she rest in peace! Love from Cynthia (Enman) Northridge and husband Steve
