Obituary

Charles Gordon, 81, of West Chelmsford, MA, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2024, at Lowell General Hospital.

Charles was the beloved husband of Gail Elaine (Craig) Gordon, with whom he recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.

Charles dedicated his professional life to the field of pharmacy, serving for many years as Director of Pharmacy at St. John’s Hospital in Lowell, now known as Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus. He was deeply respected by the medical community who valued his clinical expertise.

Beyond his professional achievements, Charles enjoyed photography and computers, hobbies that showcased his love for the outdoors, science and technology.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Gail E. Gordon; his son, David C. Gordon of Chelmsford, MA; his daughter, Dr Susan E. Gordon of Chelmsford, MA; and his brother, Douglas Gordon of Clermont, Florida. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

In accordance with Charles’s wishes there will be no funeral services, and burial will be private. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and condolences during this difficult time.

    Good by my good friend. We spent a lot of time together sometimes helping each other struggle through pharmacy school.
    Our resources were sometimes limited but we shared what we had just to survive.
