David Bernard Spiegler, 91, of Chelmsford, MA, formerly of Lexington, MA passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Bear Mountain at Andover. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara G. (Weisberger) Spiegler, and his companion Pamela Spiegel.
Born in New York City, NY he was the beloved son of the late Samuel Spiegler and Lillian (Kleiner) Spiegler.
He graduated from Lafayette High School in Brooklyn, NY with the Class of 1952.
He is a graduate of New York University with a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in meteorology.
He retired as a Forensic Meteorologist and he previously worked for Mitre of Bedford, MA.
David proudly served with the US Army.
He was a member of Congregation Shalom in Chelmsford, MA.
He enjoyed racquetball, baseball and golf and he was very active with his synagogue.
David was a member of the National Meteorological Society and elected as a fellow.
He is survived by his son, Stuart N. Spiegler of Kerville, TX, his daughter, Judy and her husband Mark Shaw of Chelmsford, MA, his grandchildren, Jonathan Spiegler and his wife Crystal, Bridget and Brian Shaw, his brother Allen and his wife Cathy of Boynton Beach, FL and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Pamela’s children, Steven and Lori.

My grandfather, Sam Kleiner, and David’s grandfather were brothers. David’s parents were friends many years ago. My other connection is Pamela was my son Jeff’s mother in law. My sincere condolences to the family. He was a lovely man.
