Samuel Kabue Kahara, 76, of Lowell, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Boston Medical Center.
He was the beloved husband of Rosemary (Wanjiku) Kelly, with whom he would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on August 2 1980.
Born in Nairobi, Kenya, he was the son of the late Stephen Kahara and Hottensia (Nduta) Kahara. Samuel worked as an administrator in Nairobi before relocating to the United States in 2003 to begin a new chapter of life.
A devoted member of St. Stephen Anglican Church in Dracut, he was known for his strong faith and active presence within the church and the local Kenyan community. Samuel will be remembered for his humility, joyful spirit, peaceful nature, and unwavering optimism.
He found great joy in gardening and cooking, and his warm personality left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
In addition to his loving wife, Samuel is survived by his daughters, Jean and her husband Alex Kiarie, and Beatrice and her husband Benson Njoroge, both of Nairobi, Kenya. He was predeceased by his cherished daughter, Winifred Wangui, who passed away on August 9, 2018.
Samuel’s legacy of love and kindness will live on through his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
