Julong Taing, 74, of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Sim Kaing.
He was born in Cambodia on May 10, 1952, to the late Pol Kroun of China and Sim La Chea of Cambodia. Julong earned an associate degree and came to the United States in 1992. He had served as a monk and was also a soldier in the Cambodian military.
In addition to his beloved wife, Sim, he is survived by his five children, Koung Taing and Kosal Mom, Sear Taing, Seng Taing, Song Taing and Kiry King, Saiy Taing and Steve Paduchowski and his eight grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be Friday, August 28, 2026 at Morse-Bayliss Funeral Home at 2pm followed by a ceremony at The Glory Buddhist Temple at 3pm.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 8am at The Glory Buddhist Temple then Julong will be laid to rest at Lowell Cemetery. All arrangements by Morse-Bayliss Funeral Home, 122 Princeton Blvd Lowell, MA 978-458-6841.
