Helen R. Zupkosky
Helen R. Zupkosky, of Lowell, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026 at D’Youville Senior Care & Rehabilitation. She was born March 29, 1930, in Nashua, NH, the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Legatavich) Yanuskevich.
She was a graduate of Nashua High School and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. Working in the Pediatric Department as an RN in Nashua, she met the love of her life, John J. Zupkosky. They got married at St. Casimir’s Church. They moved to Lowell where she worked at the former St. Joseph’s Pediatric Department. Before her husband John’s passing in July 2014, they both loved going on mystery trips with AAA and vacationing at Old Orchard and Seabrook Beach.
She is survived by her son, John G. Zupkosky, grandson, David J., and his wife, Katie Piloseno Zupkosky; great-granddaughters, Kensington and Kaislyn; granddaughter, Caitlyn Zupkosky, fiancé Andrew Pincence; and great-grandson, Cayden; nephew, Michael Yanuskevich and wife Denise; niece, Judy Yanuskevich.
Along with her parents, her husband, John J. Zupkosky, she was predeceased by her sister Mary and brother Veto.
No calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Helen’s Funeral Mass on Friday, October 9, 2026 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Church, Stevens St., Lowell. Please meet at church. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Hudson, NH.
