Condolence From: Garth
Condolence: Although "Uncle Rob" was not my uncle, or even a relative, he certainly felt like one during the years I came to know him. I can't recall ever seeing Uncle Rob without a smile on his face when he came to visit Kris when we were in college. His happiness was contagious and he, Kris, Terry and me enjoyed several great visits together, whether it was in VT or MA. I always looked forward to seeing Uncle Rob, making him laugh and smile, and giving big hugs. My family and I send our heartfelt love and prayers to Uncle Rob and his loved ones.

Condolence From: Kris
Condolence: Rob was my godfather.

He was the type of man who would drop everything and load up his station wagon to help me move in to college. His home in Chelmsford became a rallying point and waystation for many a Middlebury friend. Uncle Rob will forever be the most selfless person I know. He loved my mother deeply as best of friends. He loved my friends and considered us family. He is sorely missed. I love you uncle rob. I hope that mom greeted you and you are both causing a ruckus up there :)

Condolence From: Elaine Marinella
Condolence: We got to know Rob because our son is a resident of Sunny Acres. During a visit, my grandson, Thomas met Rob and started chatting. He had just turned four. Rob told his he wanted a bulldog and was naming himJosiah. Thomas told him that he can’t get one a t a nursing home. Later that week, Thomas spotted a stuffed bulldog in the store and insisted we bring it to Rob. Rob named it Josiah. On special occasions , Halloween , Christmas, Easter, we visited Rob and had to bring more pets. ( now you know where all those stuffed animals came from) Our last visit was on January 29th when Thomas brought Rob a little black and white bulldog. I have a picture of Thomas ( now SIX) and Rob and I will make sure his aunt gets it. Rob was a nice guy and Thomas ‘s Mom is struggling with how to tell him his friend is no longer there. We will be sure to tell him that ROb is in heaven with His Josiah. It was a very special friendship for over two years. A little boy who never forgot his buddy. We are glad he got to know ROB. Sincerely , theMarinella and Dechaves family.
