Obituary for David P. Sevigny

Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, and Brother

David P. Sevigny, 66, of Lowell, formerly a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2018, at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband and soul mate of Donna (LeClair) Sevigny, with whom he recently celebrated 44 years of marriage.

Born in Lowell, November 19, 1952, he was the son of Alice (Clegg) Sevigny of Lowell, and the late Paul Sevigny. He graduated from Tyngsboro High School with the Class of 1971, and furthered his education at Middlesex Community College, where he majored in Radiology.

David began his career at St. Joseph's Hospital as a radiology technologist, and later worked at both Malden and Framingham Union Hospitals as Director of Imaging Services. It was his role as Senior Territory Manager at Konica Minolta Medical Imaging that he most enjoyed, which he held until illness forced his retirement in 2017.

He was an active member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), and the Massachusetts Society of Radiologic Technologists (MSRT), where he also served as District President. David received the prestigious Oliver E. Merrill award for his outstanding work in the field of Radiology. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus #4225.

A devoted and loving family man, David was strong, kindhearted, and generous, who always, without hesitation, placed the needs of others before his own. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his cherished granddaughters, who he loved to the moon and back.

In addition to his devoted wife and mother, he is survived by two precious and loving children, Kristen Boucher and her husband John of Ashburnham, MA, and Michael Sevigny and his wife Jennifer of Londonderry, NH, and four beautiful granddaughters, Olivia Boucher, Ella Boucher, Caylee Sevigny, and Caroline Geary. He also leaves a brother, Kevin Sevigny of Leesburg, FL, and many nieces and nephews.
