Obituary for Donna M. Payne (Wojnar)

Donna M. Payne (Wojnar)
Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother

Donna M. (Wojnar) Payne, 66, a lifelong resident of the Acre neighborhood of Lowell, died November 12, 2018, at her home. She was the wife of the late Robert Payne.

Born in Lowell, July 27, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Priscilla (Holbrook) Wojnar, and received her education in the Lowell school system.

After raising her family, she volunteered at the Open Pantry of Greater Lowell – a cause she was very passionate about – for many years. She enjoyed music, video games, horror movies, social events, camping, and meeting new people, but the only thing she loved more than nature and animals, was her family.

Donna was outgoing, funny, and, though she never truly realized, was the glue of her family. A generous person, she gave to others even when she had little to give. Her home, like her heart, was open to all, and she treated her children’s friends as her own. Donna’s greatest accomplishments were raising a large and wonderful family, teaching love and kindness along the way, and showing just how precious life is by always living hers to the fullest.

She is survived by four sons, Sean Noonan and his wife Colleen, Edward Noonan Jr., Christopher Landry and his wife Johnna, and Michael Landry and his wife Monique; a daughter, Serenity Payne; seventeen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a nephew, two nieces, and many friends at the Lord Manor. She also leaves former husbands, George Landry and Edward Noonan Sr. She was the sister of the late Maureen A. Riss. She will be greatly missed by her beloved African Grey Parrot “Pepper”, and cat “Poe”.
