Obituary for Andrew L. Simmons

Andrew L.  Simmons
Andrew Lee Simmons was born May 8, 1941 in Sumiton, Alabama to the union of Mr. Andrew Jackson and Mrs. Margie Riley Simmons. Andrew grew up in Sumiton with his grandparents the late Reverend Frank and Mittie Simmons. He confessed Christ at an early age under the leadership of Reverend Jenkins. He attended school in Sumiton and the Dora School system.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Frank Simmons, Jr. of Lowell, MA, Mr. Harvey (Virginia) Simmons, Mr. Andrew (Beatrice) Simmons of Sumiton, Alabama, Mr. Rufus (Ann) Simmons of Lowell, MA, Mr. Wilbur Simmons of Lowell, MA, Mrs. Novella Jones of Queens, Long Island, New York, Nathaniel Macon (Indiana),Robert Macon (Indiana), Katie Monroe (Indiana), Jacqueline Macon (Indiana) and Ronnie Macon (Indiana).

He is survived by his children, Anthony Joseph (Debra) Forman, Chris (Destiny) Bridge and Georgia Mae (Darnell) Snowden. His granddaughter’s Kayleigh Forman, Taylor Forman, Awilda Bridge and grandson’s Chris Bridge Jr. and Anthony Bridge.

He is survived by his brothers: Mr. Jimmie Edward Woods of Lowell, MA, Mr. Billie (Edelyne) Woods of Birmingham, Alabama, Mr. Rickey (Debra) Woods of Sumiton, Alabama. sisters: Mrs. Myrtle (Charles) McNeal of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mrs. Mittie (Jesse) Wilkerson of Sumiton, Alabama, Mrs. Minnie Gosha of Cleveland, Ohio, Ms. Virginia Woods, Ms. Richetta Woods of Sumiton, Alabama, Brenda Riley (Indiana), Anita Riley (Indiana), Theresa Riley (Indiana), Pevonia Riley (Indiana), Kwanza Riley (Indiana), Victoria Riley(Indiana), Johanna Page (Indiana), and a host of other relatives and dear friends. A loving father, son, brother, and uncle; may your soul rest in peace.

Friends will be received at the MORSE-BAYLISS Funeral Home, 122 Princeton Blvd., Lowell, on Friday from 9 to 10:45 a.m., followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment is private. Funeral Director, Frederick W. Healy.
