Jane graduated from Chelmsford High School with the Class of 1974. She furthered her education at Bunker Hill Community College, and earned her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from Northeastern University, and a Master’s Degree from Boston Children’s Hospital School of Nursing.

Early in her nursing career, Jane was employed by the Department of Youth Services in Boston. She then became affiliated with Boston Children's Hospital, where she worked as a Pediatric Nurse for over 30 years.

Jane had many skills and held numerous interests. She was an Event Planner with D’lish Intimate Catering, volunteered for Sailing Heals to support those serving survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing, and also at Rosie’s Place, serving the homeless. She was an active member of Temple Beth Avodah in Newton, MA. In addition to her husband Jerold, she is survived by two daughters, Rachel Goldman of Waltham, MA, and Erica Goldman of Cambridge, MA; two brothers, Steven Pofcher of Pepperell, MA, and Paul Pofcher of Santa Monica, CA and Vermont, and several nieces and nephews.
