Queen Esther Agyekum
Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt

Queen Esther Agyekum, of Worcester, died unexpectedly on February 27, 2018, at UMass Memorial Medical Center, aged 66 years. She was the beloved wife of Joshua Agyekum.

Born in Shelby, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Corene (Borders) Freeman and the late Bennie Freeman.

She was a food service worker at the VA in Bedford, where the many veterans she served all knew and loved her. She retired in August of 2017, after 30 years of dedicated service.

A women of deep faith, Queen joyfully attend the New England Pentecostal Church in Pelham, New Hampshire.

A practical joker, she was always playing tricks on family and friends. She loved a nice glass of red wine while dining out with family and friends at Captain Jacks or the Texas Roadhouse. Queen loved spending time at the ocean, especially on Plum Island. She also loved to shop endlessly at savers and goodwill.

Most of all, Queen adored her family. She loved family gatherings, where guests enjoyed her fabulous cooking, especially her famous pot roast and collard greens. An excellent seamstress, she made beautiful clothes for all her children. She had a deep, loving bond with her daughter, and wherever you found Queen you would also find Tanya.
