Jane Sari Pofcher-Goldman RN, a woman of class, heart, and beauty, entered into rest on April 2, 2018, at her home in Plymouth, MA. She was the beloved wife of Jerold “Jerry” Goldman, with whom she shared 38 years of marriage.
Born in Providence, RI, July 3, 1956, she was the daughter of Barbara Pofcher of Westford, and the late Wilmer Pofcher.
Jane graduated from Chelmsford High School with the Class of 1974. She furthered her education at Bunker Hill Community College, and earned her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from Northeastern University, and a Master’s Degree from Boston Children’s Hospital School of Nursing.
Early in her nursing career, Jane was employed by the Department of Youth Services in Boston. She then became affiliated with Boston Children's Hospital, where she worked as a Pediatric Nurse for over 30 years.
Jane had many skills and held numerous interests. She was an Event Planner with D’lish Intimate Catering, volunteered for Sailing Heals to support those serving survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing, and also at Rosie’s Place, serving the homeless. She was an active member of Temple Beth Avodah in Newton, MA. Jane had a beautiful voice, and enriched the lives of those around her with her singing, generosity, and loving support, which she gave to all.
In addition to her husband Jerold, she is survived by two daughters, Rachel Goldman of Waltham, MA, and Erica Goldman of Cambridge, MA; two brothers, Steven Pofcher of Pepperell, MA, and Paul Pofcher of Santa Monica, CA and Vermont, and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Sunday at Temple Beth Avodah, 45 Puddingstone Lane, Newton Centre, MA, at 12:30 PM. Please omit flowers. Interment in the Montefiore Synagogue Cemetery, Pulpit Rock Road, Pelham, NH, at 3:00 PM. Shiva to be observed at the home of Barbara Pofcher, in Westford, on Sunday beginning at 4:30 PM, and on Monday and Tuesday beginning at 4:00 PM.
