Obituary for Providencia De Leon

Providencia De Leon
Loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend

Miss Providencia De Leon, 40, of Lowell, died unexpectedly October 3, 2017, in Lowell, due to recent complications from a lifelong medical condition.

Born June 1, 1977, in Comerio, Puerto Rico, she was the beloved daughter of Matilde Huertas and her husband Samuel of Lowell, and the late Angel De Leon.

At age four, she moved with her family from Comerio, Puerto Rico to Lowell. She received her education in the Lowell school system, graduating from Lowell High School in 1995. She furthered her education through the Lincoln Tech Medical Assistant Program, graduating as a Medical Office Assistant. She worked as a Registration and Scheduling Specialist at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, and was an active member of the City of Lowell Commission on Disability for many years.

She was a devoted Child of God, whose unwavering faith carried her through many challenges. She loved spending time enhancing her mind with Godly and worldly knowledge. Engaged in church since a young age, she was most recently a devoted Prayer Warrior at the Greater Deliverance Temple Church of Lowell.

Providencia was a tremendous inspiration to many. A non-judgmental soul with a heart of gold, she shared caring words of wisdom and lent a helping hand to anyone in need. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, unique laugh, empathetic heart, endless love for life, and devotion to family. Though she will be deeply missed, her faith and love will live on in all who were blessed to know her.

She was the cherished sister of Anthony Maysonet of Lowell, and a loving aunt to her nephew Kai and niece Ivory. She also leaves eleven aunts and uncles, several cousins, and countless friends.

Friends will be received at the MORSE-BAYLISS Funeral Home, 122 Princeton Blvd., Lowell, on Monday, from 4 until 8 PM. Her Funeral Service will be held at the Community Christian Fellowship Church, 105 Princeton Blvd., Lowell, on Tuesday at 10 AM. Please meet at Church. Burial in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
